About

Susan is known for her painterly look and love of light. She moves happily between moving image and photography, having studied both as part of her degree in at AUP & Parsons Paris.

Susan has directed and produced hundreds of films for brands such as the Co-op, Neff and the Halcyon Gallery. She loves putting together a strong team to take a project from pre-production through to edit.

Storytelling is at the core of the work. With over 20 years photographing, Susan works with film cameras, medium format as well as digital DSLR to bring texture and feeling to the work. Every project is treated as a fresh and exciting start, an adventure to tell a new story.

In her stills work she has photographed over twenty books for publishers including Claudia Roden’s The Med and two books with Marcus Wareing. Her work has also appeared in publications Hole & Corner, Rake’s Progress, Waitrose Food and House & Garden. She has been shortlisted numerous times and a winner in the Pink Lady Food Photography Awards in 2017.

Her polaroid transfer work is held with Crane Kalman gallery, Brighton.
